Megan is an experienced and professional piano teacher and accompanist currently based in Chelmsford, UK. She has been enthusiastic in playing the piano since her young age. She was awarded the diplomaABRSM of piano performance at the age of 16, and the LRSM two years after. She won many prizes along her piano journey. For example, she was champion in the Asia-Pacific Piano Competition and was first runner-up in the Hong Kong Children & Youth Piano Contest.

After graduating from university, she devotes herself to the career of music teaching. She has been teaching at a Hong Kong’s renowned piano academy, GMC Music, as a senior teacher for over 10 years. She successfully coached numerous students to excel in various examinations and competitions. Many of which even managed to attain high distinctions (over 140 out of 150 marks) in ABRSM examinations. She received many teacher commendations from different competitions and associations, such as the Gold Prize Teacher Award from Hong Kong Children & Youth Piano Contest (2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023), Best Teacher Award from China European International Music Festival 2022, Excellence Education Guidance Award from the Taiwan Asia Aegean Sea Music Competition (2022 and 2023) and so on.

Megan now resides in the UK to further explore her music journey. Not only is she collaborating with local vocalists and instrumentalists to perform at various events, she also acts as the piano accompanist of the London-based singing group "GiveMeAName”, formed by a group of Hong-Kongers aiming to preserve Cantonese and Hong Kong culture through music and drama.

Recently, Megan co-founded a music association called London Joy of Music, which aims to provide various music learning and performing opportunities for young talents. In April 2024, She organised and taught a piano masterclass for students ranging from grade 1 to diploma levels. All students have shown positive improvements, indicating that group learning opportunities are precious and rewarding.
